Menno Haven Retirement Communities will host an AARP Driver Safety four-hour refresher course for mature drivers, Wednesday, March 3, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Northgate Multi-purpose Room.To be eligible for the four-hour refresher course, AARP requires the previous completion of the basic 8-hour course. The course includes learning current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment. You'll learn adjustments to accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time through videos and discussion. You may be eligible to receive an insurance discount upon completing the course. Please consult your agent for details. A continental breakfast is provided courtesy of Menno Haven. Cost of the course is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members, payable to AARP. Payment is due the day of the course and registration is required.
